This is not the first coffee we’ve had produced by Guilherme De Castro, nor will it be the last. The area this lot particular lot has been produced in is very special. Named Serra da Mantiqueira, this region boasts a coffee producing history spanning over a century. Being home to a network of small coffee producers and having a relatively high altitude with rich soil makes Serra da Mantiqueira the perfect natural and social environment for producing specialty coffee.
Guilherme studied Agronimic Engineering with a Master’s degree in Coffee Plant Nutrition. Embracing the farm’s unique terrain, he was able to develop a methodology for planting and post-harvest care to produce high quality coffee with a highly complex profile. Opening up the market in Australia is a dream for Guilherme and his family. Since the first harvest in Serra da Campanha, Australia has been the focus for exporting these rare and complex beans, and by continuing to purchase them, it brings recognition to this special region.
Featuring notes of mango, apricot, caramello Koala, this coffee is available for espresso and filter.
